Participation of Master of Commerce students of PG Dept. Of Commerce, Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian in Regional Seminar for Paper Presentation
The students of P.G. Department of Commerce of DASMESH GIRLS COLLEGE, CHAK ALLA BAKSH, MUKERIAN has participated in a regional seminar titled “INDIA’S GREEN STARTUPS: PATH TO A GREENER FUTURE” hosted at Pt. Mohan Lal S.D. College for Women, Gurdaspur on March 18, 2025. The seminar aimed to promote research aptitude among students and enhance their ability to grow through interaction. Total 10 students of M.Com classes participated in the seminar. The students received positive feedback from faculty members. Their work was commended for its relevance to the seminar’s themes and its innovative approaches under the guidance of Principal Dr. Karamjit kaur, HOD of P.G. Department of Commerce Dr. Sonia Chauhan and Coordinators Assistant Professor Priyanka and Assistant Professor Sushma Devi. M.Com students participated in the seminar and presented their research papers on a variety of topics related to the seminar’s main theme.
This initiative has been taken by Research and Development Cell under the Direction of Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur encourages the students that they should participate in these types of activities which can explore their abilities in the Research field.
PG Department of Commerce Organized an Extension Lecture On Smart Investing: Maximizing Returns in Stock Trading and Mutual Funds in Collaboration with IIC & Business Forum, Career Guidance and Placement Cell
A lecture on Trading and Mutual funds was conducted on 22-2-2025 for students, organized by PG Department of Commerce & Business Management, Dasmesh Girls College Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian . The session was led by Ms.Simran Pathania and Mrs.Priyanka in financial markets.The lecture covered the basics of Trading and Mutual funds, their types, benefits, risks, and investment strategies. The resource persons explained concepts like SIPs, NAV, and diversification, using real-life examples and case studies were shared to help students understand investment strategies and market trends. Students actively participated in the interactive session, asking questions and gaining insights into smart investing. An extension lecture was successfully conducted on under the valuable guidance of our esteemed Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur. The principal of the college congratulated the Dr. Sonia Chauhan (Head of the Department of Commerce and Managenent) vote of thanks to the speaker.
