The NSS Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh,Mukerian has celebrated the 75 Years of Independence from 8 th to 15 thAugust, 2022. The students of NSS participated in various activities to
spread the awareness about Har Ghar Tiranga . The following activities were performed to celebrated Independence Day.

The NSS Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has celebrated “ Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao “ on 11 th July,2022. The Volunteers participated in Poster and Slogan Writing Competition. The main motive to celebrate this day to ensuring the safety as well as to stop the crime against girl child and gender equality.It is very necessary to aware people about the save girl child. The Volunteers spread awareness about the social equilibrium between boys and girls.
The NSS Unit of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian celebrated the “World Population Day” on 11th July,2022.
A Awareness Lecture was conducted to motivate Volunteers about the growth of population. Prof. Satwant Kaur gave knowledge about the consequences of increasing population , which leads to increase poverty , unemployment and lack of resources.
1st to 7th July,2022
The NSS Unit of Dasmesh Girls College , Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has celebrated the Van Mahotsav from 1 st July to 7 th July,2022. The Volunteers planted trees in Lubana Bhawan, Army Park and College Campus. The students motivated to grow more plants to different places ,so we can save our Earth and other natural resources.
This is to you informed that the NSS department celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21st June,2022 under the aegis of Fit India Movement . The aim of celebration of Yoga Day to enlightened the participants about this different yoga asanas and motivated them these Yoga exercises are very beneficial to our health. Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that helps in boosting Mental and Social Well being. The International Yoga Day Theme is “ yoga for Humanity “ which promotes the holistic route to health. Approximately 300 students got benefit from Yoga sessions. The following various activities performed during 100 days of Yoga.
Subject : Regarding Block Level Orientation Training (1st-3rd June,2022)
The NSS Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has attended Three Days Block Level Orientation Training of Youth on ‘ Investor Education , Awareness and Protection’ was organised by ‘Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Hoshiarpur ( Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports , Government of India) in Collaboration with ‘ Shivi Shivay Welfare Society ,Talwara from 1st June to 3rd June, 2022. 50 Volunteers of NSS of our College participated in this Orientation programme . Moreover, Out of 80 Volunteers First Sixth Positions won by our Students in Chart making Competition and Presentation. Additionally, Students get knowledge about different Investment Avenues and Financial Frauds under this orientation program. Prof. Satwant Kaur and Prof. Surbhi Abrol of Dasmesh Girls College also give Extension Lecture about the Financial Frauds and Redressal . The Volunteers of NSS also participated in different Yoga activities and Tree Plantation. Various other Delegators were present their presentation on different Financial Investment patterns.
Regarding Celebration of Cyber Awareness Day
This is to you inform that the NSS department has celebrated the Cyber Awareness Day on May 4th, 2022on the recommendation of Ministry of Home Affairs.On this day , a Awareness Lecture was organised on the topic of ‘Cyber Attacks and Preventions’by Muskan of BCA 2ndyear #Cyber Security Ambassador # of Dasmesh Girls College. She explained about various Cyber Attacks through Social Media, Various unauthorised links and Credit Risk. She also told about how we can take precautionsto prevent the people from Cyber Attacks.
This is to informed you that the NSS departmentorganised a Extension Lecture in collaboration with Physical Education department on the topic of ‘ Water is life on earth’. The resource person of this lecture was Sant Balbir Singh ji Seechewal who gives a motivational lecture to the students that the true wealth of country can be measured on the basis of its Fresh air, water and environment. He delivered the message that ‘Wind is our Guru’s, Water is our father and Earth is our mother . He also raised serious concerned about the wastage of water in farming activities and contamination of water by human activities and industrial waste and quoted that the future generations is being deprived of their fundamental rights to access to clean water. He also planted plants in campus to promote the environment awareness.
The NSS department of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has celebrated the ‘Earth Day’ by Poster Making, Slogan writing, Essay writing and poem Recitation Competition on 22nd April,2022. The Volunteers gives message to protect the Earth by protecting Natural Resources and environment. They also gives awareness about growing more trees for a better life on earth .
The NSS department has organised the ‘Blood Donation Camp ‘ on the occasion of ‘World Health Day ‘ on 7th April,2022. The camp was organised with the collaboration of ‘ Blood Machine Welfare Society’ in the College campus. A motivational lecture was given by Mr. Raghu of Blood Machine Welfare Society to the students of the college. The aim of this camp is to inspire the blood donors. A team of expert Doctors from Amandeep Blood Bank team , Pathankot along with Nurses and assistant staff was came to conducted the camp. A large number of students donated blood with beaming faces and proud hearts. At the end 106 Units of Blood was collected and deposited in Amandeep Hospital, Pathankot.

The Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has successfully completed the NSS Seven Day and Night Special Camp from 1st March to 7th March , 2022. In this camp the NSS Programme Officer Mrs. Satwant Kaur highlighted the significance of scheme and explained the flag and logo of NSS. She enlightened the students about the relevance of NSS Special Camp. The details of activities conducted during the camp is attached along with the list of students who attended this camp.
Red Ribbon Club and NSS unit of Dasmesh Girls College Chak Alla Baksh Mukerian organized Webinar and Quiz to celebrate National Youth Day as Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda Ji to spread the theme of 2022 –It’s all in the Mind.
The NSS Volunteers celebrated the ‘World AIDS Day ‘ on 1st December, 2021. An Awareness lecture was delivered by Mrs.Neena Rishi to promote awareness among students how we can take precautions to control this disease. She also disseminated that If this treatment works , then the people infected with HIV will not have to take drugs for their rest of lives .
The NSS Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has celebrated the Diwali Festival on 3rd November, 2021 . On this Occasion the Shining Stars of NSS take a Pledge to celebrate this festival in a clean and safe way to protect the environment from pollution. They disseminated the message that burning firecrackers are not only cause air pollution but also a number of health hazards. The shining stars of NSS increases the awareness for restricting burning firecrackers and celebrate this festival eco – friendly way . The students also participated in Rangoli and Diya making Competition on the event of Diwali.

The NSS Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian celebrated the ‘ Vigilance Week’ on the theme of ‘ Independent India @75 : Self Reliance with Integrity ‘ from 26th October to 1st November, 2021 by taking Pledge on ‘Anti Corruption ‘ topromote awareness to act with integrityand to treat public resources respectfully. An extension lecture on the topic of ‘Corruption in India ‘ was delivered by Mrs. Rajni Devi to the NSS Students. She disseminated awareness about how we can eliminate the corruption for welfare of our Country.
The NSS Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has Celebrated the NSS day on 24 September , 2021 by taking Pledge to promote peace, social harmony and understanding among the all fellow human beings. The awareness lecture on the topic of ‘ Importance of NSS ‘ delivered by Mrs. Sanjiv Kaur to the NSS students. The Shining Stars of NSS also indulged in the cleaning process in the College Campus.
