NSS

The National Service Scheme is an Indian Government sponsored program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Government of India.  This Scheme was launched in 1969.The Motto of NSS is “Not Me But You”.  The solo aim of NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community services.  Throughout the year, various activities and camps were held by the NSS DGC Unit for the volunteers who actively participated in them to help the society under the supervision of NSS Program Officer.

Regarding Celebration of Cyber Awareness Day

            This is to you inform that the NSS department has celebrated the Cyber Awareness Day on May 4th, 2022on the recommendation of Ministry of Home Affairs.On this day , a Awareness Lecture was organised on the topic of ‘Cyber Attacks and Preventions’by Muskan of BCA 2ndyear #Cyber Security Ambassador # of Dasmesh Girls College. She explained about various Cyber Attacks through Social Media, Various unauthorised links and Credit Risk. She also told about how we can take precautionsto prevent the people from Cyber Attacks.

 

 

 

 

 

28th April,2022

This is to informed you that the NSS departmentorganised a Extension Lecture in collaboration with Physical Education department on the topic of ‘ Water is life on earth’. The resource person of this lecture was Sant Balbir Singh ji Seechewal who gives a motivational lecture to the students that the true wealth of country can be measured on the basis of its Fresh air, water  and environment. He delivered the message that  ‘Wind is our Guru’s, Water is our father and Earth is our mother . He also raised serious concerned about the wastage of water in farming activities and contamination of water by human activities and  industrial waste and quoted that the future generations is being deprived of their fundamental rights to access to clean water. He also planted plants in  campus to promote the  environment awareness.

The NSS department of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has celebrated the ‘Earth Day’ by Poster Making, Slogan writing, Essay writing and poem Recitation Competition on 22nd April,2022. The Volunteers gives message to protect the Earth by protecting Natural Resources and environment. They also gives awareness about growing more trees for a better life on earth .

 

 

 

 

7th April,2022

The  NSS department  has organised the ‘Blood Donation Camp ‘ on the occasion of ‘World Health Day ‘ on 7th April,2022. The camp was organised with the collaboration of ‘ Blood  Machine Welfare Society’ in the College campus. A motivational lecture was given by Mr. Raghu of Blood Machine Welfare Society to the students of the college. The aim of this camp is to inspire the blood donors. A team of expert Doctors from Amandeep Blood Bank team , Pathankot along with Nurses and assistant staff was came to conducted the camp. A large number of students donated blood with beaming faces and proud hearts. At the end 106 Units of Blood was collected and deposited in Amandeep Hospital, Pathankot.

1st March to 7th March,2022

   The  Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has  successfully completed  the NSS  Seven Day and Night Special Camp from 1st March to 7th March , 2022. In this camp the NSS Programme Officer Mrs. Satwant Kaur highlighted the significance of scheme and explained the flag and logo of NSS. She enlightened the students about the relevance of NSS Special Camp. The details of activities conducted during the camp is attached along with the list of students who attended this camp.

Red Ribbon Club and NSS unit of Dasmesh Girls College Chak Alla Baksh Mukerian organized Webinar and Quiz to celebrate  National Youth Day as Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda Ji to spread the theme  of  2022 –It’s all in the Mind.

The NSS Volunteers celebrated the ‘World AIDS Day ‘ on 1st December, 2021. An Awareness lecture was delivered by Mrs.Neena Rishi  to promote awareness among students how we can take precautions to control this disease. She also disseminated that If this treatment works , then the people infected with HIV will not have to take drugs for their rest of lives .

 

 

 

 

3rd November,2021

The NSS Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has celebrated the Diwali Festival on 3rd November, 2021 . On this Occasion the Shining Stars of NSS take a Pledge to celebrate this festival in a clean and safe way to protect the environment from pollution. They disseminated the message that burning firecrackers are not only cause air pollution but also a number of health hazards. The shining stars of NSS increases the awareness for restricting burning firecrackers and celebrate this festival eco – friendly way . The students also participated in Rangoli and Diya making  Competition on the event of Diwali.

 

 

26th October – 1st November,2021

The NSS Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian celebrated the ‘ Vigilance Week’ on the theme of  ‘ Independent India @75 : Self Reliance with Integrity ‘  from 26th October to 1st November, 2021  by taking Pledge on ‘Anti Corruption ‘ topromote awareness to act with integrityand to treat public resources respectfully. An extension lecture on the topic of   ‘Corruption in India ‘ was delivered by Mrs. Rajni  Devi to the NSS Students. She disseminated awareness about how we can  eliminate the corruption for welfare of our Country.

The NSS Volunteers of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian has Celebrated the NSS day on 24 September , 2021 by taking Pledge to promote peace, social harmony and understanding among the all fellow human beings. The awareness lecture on the topic of ‘ Importance of NSS ‘ delivered by Mrs. Sanjiv Kaur to the NSS students. The Shining Stars of NSS also indulged in the cleaning process in the College Campus.

They disseminated the message of Healthy person can enjoy the all pleasures of life .So, we should have to balance our physical and mental health to be successful in life.

The NSS department celebrated the Swachhata Pakhwada from 1 August to 15 August by planting trees in College campus , different schools and other places.NSS volunteers also indulged in cleaning process at nearby places of their house.
