Session 2024-25

  • दसमेश गर्ल्स कॉलेज चक् अल्लाह बख़्श मुकेरियां में प्रिंसिपल डॉ.करमजीत कौर के सफल नेतृत्व में कॉलेज के आई.क्यू.ए.सी सैल्ल के अंतर्गत आई.आई.सी, आर्ट एंड कल्चर समितियों के सहयोग से स्नातकोत्तर हिंदी विभाग की हिंदी साहित्य परिषद् समिति एवं संगीत विभाग के संयुक्त तत्वावधान से समाजसेवी संस्था प्रतिज्ञा-एक नई सोच और पंडित हरि शाह जी दरबार अम्बोआ के ख़िताब-ए-स्वर नामक विस्तारण व्याख्यान का आयोजन करवाया। कार्यक्रम का आगाज़ शब्द गायन से हुआ। कार्यक्रम में श्रीमती स्वांति, एग्जिक्यूटिव सदस्य ( टीम प्रतिज्ञा एक नई सोच) ने बतौर विषय संप्रेषक भाग लिया। नारी विमर्श: समानता से सशक्तीकरण तक का सफर विषय पर आयोजित व्याख्यान , में आदि से आधुनिक युग तक नारी के संघर्षमयी सोपनों को पार करके सफल होने की जानकारी दी।इस सत्र में प्रतिज्ञा-एक नई सोच के प्रतिष्ठित वक्ताओं की छात्राओं के समक्ष गहन विषयों पर चर्चा हुई। सुश्री प्रीति शर्मा ने शिक्षा, पर्यावरण और सामाजिक उत्थान में प्रकाश डालने हेतु विचाराभिव्यक्ति की। श्रीमती रजनी खेड़ा ने ख़िताब-ए-स्वर: आपकी आवाज़, आपकी जीत – पंजीकरण से मान्यता तक – प्रतिभा की खोज और सांस्कृतिक विरासत को बढ़ावा देने में इस आयोजन के महत्व को प्रदर्शित करने हेतु विचार- विमर्श किया। श्री शिवम् बक्शी (अध्यक्ष, प्रतिज्ञा-एक नई सोच)विषय: युवा सक्रियता: सामाजिक सेवा, सतत पहल और प्लास्टिक-मुक्त उपक्रमों के माध्यम से बदलाव लाना – छात्राओं को सामुदायिक सेवा और स्थिरता में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने हेतु संभाषण दिया और कहा कि यह बातचीत महिला सशक्तिकरण, सांस्कृतिक जागरूकता और सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी को बढ़ावा देने के हमारे सामूहिक प्रयासों में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। डॉ. रीना कुमारी (हिंदी विभागाध्यक्षा), डॉ. आकांक्षा (ललित कला विभागाध्यक्षा), सहायक प्रो.रजनीत कौर (कंप्यूटर विभाग), सहायक प्रो.गीता एवं श्री भूपिंदर (संगीत विभाग) को पूरे सत्र के दौरान उनके अमूल्य समर्थन और मार्गदर्शन के लिए श्री गुरु गोविंद सिंह एजुकेशनल चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट के चेयरमैन स. रविंदर सिंह चक् एवं ट्रस्ट के सभी सदस्यों ने प्रिं.डॉ.करमजीत कौर बराड़ एवं कार्यक्रम संयोजकों को कार्यक्रम की सफलता के लिए शुभकामनाएं दी और भविष्य में ऐसे कार्यक्रम आयोजित करते रहने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।     

Session 2024-25

Music Department organized Music competition on the occasion of Basant Panchami on 1 feb 2025.
Saraswati vandna was recited by the students of music department.
Ranjita got first prize in folk song, Divaya 2nd in folk song, and Sana 3rd in Qawali.

Department of music Organized live Music performance and Musical chair game on the occassion of Dewali festival in collaboration National Education trust of India on 30-10-2024.The whole event was Organized under the Guidance of principal(Dr. Karmjit kaur) Nodal officer Ms.pooja , Coordinator Ms.Renu Gupta,Organizing Secretary Ms.Geeta Devi,Ms.Mamta,Mr.Bhupinder.

Session 2023-24

Under the guidance of principal Dr.Karamjeet kaur ji, One day workshop was conducted in Department of Music on 19.03.23 on the topic of “Techniques of Holi Gayan “.In which Dr.Ranjana (Department of Music ,Kendriya Vidalaya Tibri Cantt gurdaspur) was taught various styles of semi classical like Hori Kajri, Chaiti. Jhula and explained its singing techniques.

 

Dasmesh Girls College Mukerian has been participated in Nature fest 2024 held at Hoshiarpur with full enthusiasm on 4th ,March 2024.. Bhand , folk orchestra, folk song and Giddha teams performed there to enlighten the audience.
The Team incharge and participants honoured by the plants saplings to motivate them to have a great sense of responsibility towards the environment concerns. This initiative has been taken by Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Karamjit Kaur. She added that this type of events motivate the participants to have fun outdoors, and also taking in some learning too .

Under the valuable guidance of #Principal #Dr_Karamjit_Kaur_Brar, Department of Music, Participated in IBPG COLLEGE PANIPAT SWAR SPARDHA ONLINE NATIONAL LEVEL MUSIC COMPETITION On 12th Feb 2024. Colleges from All over India participated in this competition.Our Students Participated in Classical Vocal ,Light Vocal Gazal,Instrumental Percussion Tabla .In Light Vocal Category Bharti stood first, Classical Vocal Category Simran Thakur stood Third and Instrumental Percussion Nandita Stood Third.

Department of visual and performing arts celebrated basant panchmi on 14th Feb 2024 ……activites like kite Flying Saraswati Puja, Mehndi, Nail Art, were conducted…Food stalls were also set up by the students.

Session 2022-23

  • Attended Two Days North Zone Convention Workshop by SPIC MACAY at Delhi Public School,Ludhiana.
  • YOUTH FESTIVAL POSITIONS – 1st  in group song,1st  in group shabad,2nd in geet 3rd in classical vocal,3rd in Indian orchestra in zonal youth festival and 2nd in group shabad in inter zonal youth festival.
  • Six days classical dance workshop was organized and hosted with the collaboration of SPIC MACAY from 1st feb- 06 feb 2023,by VID.MOUMALA NAYAK ‘A’ grade Dehli doordarshan and ICCR ,Ministry of culture Artist.
  • Holi celebration celebrated with departmental Alumni’s ON 7TH March 2023.
  • Folk song and song competition held in DAV college hoshiarpur.Our positions-2nd position- Simran folk song category and Consolation-Deepika in Geet
  • Ms.Deepika Bhardwaj student of M.A Music vocal Released her songs.LOVE VS LIKE, HUKAM DA YAKKA, PBO7 WALIYA, COSTLY GAME BY B.K OSCAR COMPANY BATHINDA.

  • Tribute to Lata Mangeshkar by Departmental Students.
  • Our student performed shabad in online musical programme organized by Khalsa College for women Ludhiana.
  • Our student got first prize in folk song competition organized by Pathankot College of education pathankot.
  • YOUTH FESTIVAL POSITIONS – 3rd in group song, 3rd in group shabad,3rd in geet in youth festival.
  • Ist position in Geet competition organized by KLM institution pathankot.
  • Saraswati puja was done by faculty members on the occasion of Basant Panchami in the department of music.
  • Online Kavi darbar was organized by department with the collaboration by Art and culture society and youth welfare department.
  • Audio video surinder kaur cover song was released by college.
  • Online musical   performance of different states given by our departmental students with the collaboration with EBSB.

  1. Students performed Shabad Gayan in godharpur organized by shiromani gurudwara prabhandhak committee.
  2. Department Organized Online Vidyarthi Kirtan Darbar with the collaborating of Punjab govt.and deptt of youth welfare CHD.

  • YOUTH FESTIVAL POSITIONS – Ist in group shabad,2nd in group song,3rd in classical vocal,3rd in folk song in youth festival.
  • Kirtan jatha of our department performed in sultanpur lodhi on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak dev ji on 07 Nov.
  • Kirtan jatha of our department performed in sultanpur lodhi in stree sammellen on the occasion of 550th birthday of Guru Nanak dev ji on 09th Nov.
  • Kirtan jatha of our department performed shabad in Mahan kirtan sammellan hosted by our college on 29th Nov 2019.
  • Basant panchami celebrated by our department on the theme “live painting live singing”
  • Holi celebration was organized by departmental students.
  • Organized online patriotic singing competition (Inter Department)
  • Participated in AIU online youth festival held by P.U CHD in gazal category.held by govt.college bhera.KUK.
  • Organized online state level singing competition in which 30 colleges from entire Punjab region were participated.
  • Students of our department were participated in national level online shabad, folk, geet, sufi singing competition organized by different colleges and got 2nd ,3rd prizes.

Session 2018-19

  • Basant festival celebration by department on 07-02-19.geet gazal competition was organized on that day.
  • One day workshop was organized by department on the topic “bhartiya sangeet ki shailion ka gyan ‘’ on 09th march. By renowned artist DR.MONIKA SONI FROM P.G.G.C COLLEGE SECTOR 11. CHD.
  • YOUTH FESTIVAL POSITIONS – Got 2nd in group song and 1st individual, 3rd in group shabad, 3rd in classical vocal in youth festival.

SESSION  2017-18

  • Department organized one day workshop on the topic ‘’DIFFERENT BANDISHES IN HINDUSTANI MUSIC’’ on 19TH APRIL 2018. Dr.ALANKAR SINGH Assistant Professor Punjabi university ,Patiala and  Ashok Kumar (‘A’ GRADE RADIO ARTIST) was invited.
  • Basant panchami was organized by department in college campus. On this occasion ghazal competition was held on 22nd feb 2018.
  • Performed Group song and got 1st position in CT INSTITUTION JALANDHAR by our department.
  • YOUTH FESTIVAL POSITIONS -3RD Position in Classical vocal and 3rd in Geet.

SESSION 2016-17

  • Department organized One Day Workshop on the topic “Importance of bandishes in the improvisation of ragas’’ on 28th 2017 Dr.Neelam Paul Associate Professor P.U.Chd, and Kumar Gaurav (‘A’ GRADE RADIO ARTIST) was invited.
  • Celebrate basant festival by department in college on 1st feb 2017.
  • Tanvideep kaur got 2nd position in folk song competition pathankot college of Education, Pathankot.
  • YOUTH FESTIVAL POSITIONS – 2nd in shabad,3rd in group song,1st in folk song in Zonal youth festival.
  • First position in folk orchestra in state level youth festival held at G.T.B khalsa college dasuya.

Session 2015-16

  •  Indian Classical Musical Concert was organized on 16 september.Dr.Neelam paul (prof.Department of Music P.U CHD)  was invited for performance.
  • Inter Department Gazal competition was organized by Music Department on 24 oct.
  • Music Department organized Three days workshop on 1st, 2nd,3rd feb. 2016.Dr.Chaman lal (EX- DEAN HPU SHIMLA Department of Music), Dr.Vivek Verma(Assistant professor Department of Music Aay pee Jay college of fine arts jalandhar ,Dr.Mikki Verma Assistant Professor Department of Dance was invited.
  • YOUTH FESTIVAL POSITIONS – Department students got 1st position in classical vocal 2nd in group shabad and 2nd position in group song in youth festival.
