#Extension_lecture on Full Stack Development, featuring an esteemed panel of industry experts. The event was held on 18 March,2025 and attracted a diverse group of participants eager to enhance their skills in web development.
#Vipin_Mehra,
#Director_of_O7_Services, opened the lecture with an engaging keynote speech that introduced attendees to the fundamentals of full stack development, emphasizing the significance of both front-end and back-end technologies in creating comprehensive web applications.
Following his presentation,
#Ms_Janki_Singh, Senior Full Stack Developer, rounded out the Lecture with a hands-on coding session, where participants had the opportunity to apply the concepts learned and develop their own mini-projects.
#Ms_Lakshmi_Khabbas, Senior Graphic Designer, conducted a session focused on the importance of user experience and design principles in web development. She shared valuable insights on how to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring that functionalities align seamlessly with aesthetic appeal.

The IT Club of the Computer Science Department at Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian, successfully organized an extension lecture on “Research Methodology” for BCA students. The session aimed to equip students with essential knowledge on research writing, enabling them to navigate the world of academia with confidence. Dr. Sandeep Kaur, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, served as the esteemed resource person, delivering a thought-provoking and insightful lecture on research methodology. Her expertise provided students with a clear understanding of research fundamentals, methodologies, and best practices. The event was a resounding success, held under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur, who continues to inspire academic excellence at the institution.
This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to fostering a culture of research and innovation, empowering students to excel in their academic and professional pursuits.

Cyber Awareness Week Cum Society Outreach Program
Under the guidance of the Indian Innovation Council (IIC), the IT Club of the Department of Computer Science celebrated Cyber_Awareness_Week in conjunction with National_Computer_Security_Day from November 25th to 30th, 2024. As part of this initiative, a 4-day workshop on Web Designing was organized for the students of JBKSC School, Mukerian And this workshop was delivered by Miss Parminder Kaur, Assistant Professor in Computer Science Department focusing on building foundational skills in website development. Following the workshop, special Expert Talk were held for both non-teaching and teaching faculty, centered around cybersecurity concerns. These talks aimed to raise awareness and address important issues regarding online safety and security in the academic environment. On 29th November 2024, Mrs Neha Rani, Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department, shared her valuable insights on “Cyber Awareness” with the non-teaching staff. Her session aimed to enhance understanding of online safety and the importance of secure digital practices. Additionally, Mrs Shivani, Assistant Professor in the same department, conducted an informative and hands-on session titled “#How_to_Use_PhonePe_and_Paytm: A_Step_by_Step_Guide_to_Digital_Payments_and_Security_Concerns” on 30th Nov-2024 to all teaching staff of college. This session provided practical guidance on using these digital payment platforms while addressing associated security issues to ensure safe and secure transactions.

2.The Department of Computer Science organized a #Group_Discussion #1.O in which BCA1 students actively participated, presenting their views on the topic “#Internet: #Boon or #Curse.” The students were divided into two groups, each presenting contrasting perspectives on the issue.
One group argued that the internet is a boon, highlighting its transformative impact on communication, access to information, and education. They emphasized its role in enhancing productivity, fostering innovation, and connecting people globally. Additionally, they pointed out how the internet has driven economic growth through e-commerce and created new job opportunities.

The Computer Science has Conducted “IT Fest” Inter -Department level content with multiple technical events ,received an overwhelming response in all its events and was maginificient success.Total 150 students of BCA and students of Interdisciplinary courses participated .The motive of this event is to develop various skills of students in Co-Curricular activities and to expose them to the current trends in the technical and professional fields.

Under the Aegis of IQC Department of Computer Science organized an Extension Lecture on the theme of “Cyber Fraud Awareness” for the Faculty Members on 24th December,2022.In this Event Mr. Puneet Kumar,Deputy Manager in the Department of Fraud and Investigation,HDFC Bank came as Resource Person .He guided the members about the different Cyber Threats and also about the safety parameters we can use to save ourselves from such threats and Frauds.
