Session 2026-27

Seminar on “AI and Data Analytics in Revolutionizing Life Sciences” on 29 August 2026

The Department of Science, Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian, in collaboration with ICT Academy, organized a Power Seminar on “AI and Data Analytics in Revolutionizing Life Sciences” on 29 August 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall.

The session was delivered by #Ms_Karman_Arora, Associate Consultant, CyberCube Services Pvt. Ltd., who shared valuable insights into Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. She highlighted their practical applications in transforming industries and encouraged students to explore innovation, research and technology-driven solutions.

Session 2025-26

Under the noble guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Karamjeet Kaur, Department of Science, Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian celebrated National Science Day on 28 February, 2026.

Dr. Rohit Kumar Sharma, associate professor, chemistry department, PU, Chandigarh along with his research team graced the occasion and enlightened the students by presenting Powerpoint presentation on the topic “Exploring scientific careers: Fellowships and Frontiers in modern research”.
On this day, a science exhibition was also organised in which students showcased their talent by preparing models, charts, and through various laboratory demonstrations in different fields of science.

National Seminar on “Shifting Paradigm in Science & Technology” on 4th November, 2025

The Department of Sciences, Dasmesh Girls College, Mukerian, organized a National Seminar sponsored by the College Development Council, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The event began with a soulful Shabad Gayan followed by a warm welcome from #Dr_Karamjit_Kaur, Principal of the college.

Keynote Speaker: #Dr_Arvind (IISER Mohali & former VC, Punjabi University) delivered an insightful lecture on “A Glimpse into the Quantum World”, discussing quantum theories, computation, and sensors.

#Dr_Rohit_Sharma (Panjab University, Chandigarh) shared his research on Peptide-Based Nanoconjugates and Green Chemistry.

#Dr_Harish_Chander_Dutt (University of Jammu & Kashmir) spoke about Biodiversity Conservation and Climate Change.

In the second session,

#Dr_Rakesh_Kumar (Central University, H.P.) discussed AI in Scientific Research and Innovation.

#Dr_Sanjeev_Chandel (Dasmesh Public School, Mukerian) addressed Environmental Challenges.

#Dr_Sukhwinder_Singh Kang (Retd. Prof., GGS College, Chandigarh) concluded the seminar with an engaging talk on The Beauty of Physics.

Research scholars also presented their papers during the seminar.

The event was convened by #Dr_Ekta and coordinated by the Department of Sciences team.

Institutions Innovation Cell under the ages of Department of Science of Dasmesh Girls College Mukerian has celebrated National Science Day on 2nd March 2023.Competition of PowerPoint Presentation on Different Scientists, Model Making competition, Rangoli Competition and Medical Checkup was also conducted by the students.
