Youth Festival

SESSION (2025-26)

The Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized its Annual Function on 22nd April 2026 at Mahatma Hans Raj Hall, Department of Youth Welfare.

The event aimed to recognize and honor the achievements of student artists who brought laurels to the university through their outstanding performances in youth festivals activities. Bhumika Devi , a meritorious student of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian, has been honored with the prestigious ‘ Roll of Honour’ and ‘University Colours’ by Panjab University, Chandigarh. This recognition has been awarded to her for outstanding performance in “ Ennu Making,” where she achieved remarkable success at the Punjab State Inter-University Youth Festival, bringing laurels to the university.

 

 

The Inter University Youth Festival was organized at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar from 30th November to 3rd December, 2025. The festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from various universities, showcasing talent in cultural, literary, and creative events.

Our university proudly participated in the festival and achieved remarkable success. In the Ennu Making Competition , our talented participant Bhumika secured the 2nd Prize, bringing great honor and recognition to the institution. The competition required creativity, innovation, and artistic skills, and the participant impressed the judges with an outstanding performance.

The Inter Zonal Youth Festival was organized at A.S College Khanna from 8th November to 11th November, 2025. The festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from various zones showcasing talent in cultural, theatre, literary and creative events.

Our college proudly participated in the Inter-University Competition and achieved remarkable success. We are delighted to share that our student Bhumika secured 1st position in Ennu Making competition and Mehak secured 2nd position in Essay Writing Competition. The participant displayed exceptional creativity, artistic skills, and dedication, which impressed the judges and audience alike.

Dasmesh Girls College* proudly participated in the Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival (Hoshiarpur Zone-5) held from *October 14–17, 2025*, achieving remarkable success across cultural, literary, and heritage events.

The college secured top positions in *Classical Music, Classical Vocal, Classical Dance, Folk Song, Knitting, Pranda, Khidoo Making, Peerhi Making, Rassa Vatna, Vaar, and several individual categories. Students also excelled in **Group Bhajan, Luddi, Play, Bhand, Heritage Quiz, Elocution, and **Handwriting Competitions*. Overall, the team showcased outstanding talent, dedication, and cultural spirit throughout all four days of the festival.

SESSION (2024-25)

Dasmesh Girls College, Mukerian continued its impressive run in the field of cultural activities by winning the Third _Position in  HOSHIARPUR Zone 5  Youth_festival, Panjab University Chandigarh. The latest youth festival was organised by G.T.B Khalsa College for women, Dasuya where in 30 colleges of the zones participated for various honors.
