The Students’ Council is an elected body to represent the voice of the student community. Students are the most important stakeholders in education and Student Council is constituted to ensure democratization of management and their effective participation in decision making by continuous interaction among themselves and the college administration. In our college, a student council representative is assigned to each class. Student Council comprises Head Girl, Vice Head Girl, Class representatives and Vice Class Representatives. Students are encouraged to develop action plans for organizing various functions in the institution and to engrain democratic principles in its functioning. Students Council operates in many forms. The Student Council helps to share ideas, interests and concerns with teachers and Principal. To develop organizational and managerial skills in students, many functions and farewell parties are managed by Student Council. Student Council also maintains discipline, cleanliness, hospitality in the college.
The Students’ Council Committee of *Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian* proudly appointed *Sneha* (M.Com) as *Head Girl* and *Sonia* (B.A. Final) as *Vice Head Girl* for the academic session 2025-26 under the mentorship of our respected Principal, *Dr. Karamjeet Kaur*.
An *Oath Ceremony* was organized to formally assign responsibilities to the newly appointed leaders. On this occasion, the Principal honored Sneha and Sonia, congratulating them on their achievement and encouraging them to work with dedication, sincerity, and a sense of responsibility to set an inspiring example for the budding generation.During the event, Class Representatives (CRs)and Vice Class Representatives (VCRs) were also felicitated for their roles in ensuring smooth coordination among students. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Sonia Devi and Ms. Renu Gupta, In-charges of the Students’ Council Committee, along with other faculty members.
The program concluded with a spirit of pride and commitment, marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership in the college.
