*Health Awareness on World Cancer Day & AIDS Prevention**  
 
On February 4, 2025, the Red Ribbon Club  and NSS Unit of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian, organized an **awareness lecture** to mark World Cancer Day Under the esteemed leadership of Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur, valuable insights were shared regarding the **causes, symptoms, and preventive measures of cancer, aiming to educate and empower individuals in the fight against this disease.  
 
Furthermore, an **AIDS awareness session** was conducted at **Govt. Middle School, Ucchi Bassi**, in the **adopted village**. **Dr. Maninderjit Kaur, Red Ribbon Club In-charge**, delivered an informative lecture on **HIV/AIDS symptoms, prevention, and the importance of timely medical consultation**. **Dr. Kamaljeet Singh** (Block President, Aam Aadmi Party) emphasized the need for awareness and encouraged individuals to seek medical guidance without hesitation.  
 
As part of this noble initiative, students actively participated in a **cleanliness drive** at the school and service center and undertook a **tree plantation drive** to promote environmental well-being.  
 
The event witnessed the gracious presence of **village Sarpanch S. Gurvinder Singh, Dr. Sarabjit Singh, Panchayat members Makhan Singh and Kuldeep Singh, Prof. Renu Gupta, and enthusiastic students**, who collectively contributed to the success of this awareness campaign.  
 
Such initiatives reflect the unwavering commitment of the **Red Ribbon Club** toward fostering a healthier and more informed society.

Under the leadership of **Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur**, the **Red Ribbon Club of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian**, organized a **Poster Making Competition** at **JBKSCM School, Mukerian** to spread awareness about **HIV/AIDS** among students.  
 
The event aimed to educate young minds about the **causes, prevention, and misconceptions** surrounding HIV/AIDS while promoting creativity and awareness. A large number of students actively participated, showcasing their artistic skills and knowledge through impactful posters that emphasized the importance of awareness, prevention, and stigma reduction.  
 
After a thorough evaluation based on creativity, theme relevance, and presentation, the winners were declared:  
– **First :** [Kiranpreet Kaur +1 NM]  
– **Second :** [Himanshi +1 Commerce]  
– **Third :**[Manpreet Kaur +1 Arts ]  
 
Principal **Dr. Karamjit Kaur** appreciated the efforts of the participants and encouraged students to contribute toward spreading awareness in society. The winners were awarded **prizes and certificates** in recognition of their outstanding work.  
 
The event concluded on a positive note, with a vote of thanks to the organizers, teachers, and students for their enthusiastic participation in this significant awareness initiative.

Red Ribbon Club of Dasmesh Girls College Hosts National Youth Day & Felicitation Ceremony**

Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian, celebrated **National Youth Day** with enthusiasm under the aegis of the **Red Ribbon Club** in collaboration with the **National Edu Trust of India**. The event featured a **Motivation-cum-Felicitation Ceremony**, focusing on honoring the legacy of **Swami Vivekananda** and inspiring the youth to pursue excellence.

**Mr. Davinder Singh**, WHO NCD Consultant, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and launched the **30 Days Fitness Challenge** poster, encouraging health and wellness among students. An award ceremony followed, where the **National Edu Trust of India** recognized outstanding contributors:

– **Best Nodal Officer Award** for promoting environmental sustainability, skill-based education, and entrepreneurship programs (2024-25).

– **Best Principal Award** presented to **Dr. Karamjit Kaur**, Principal of Dasmesh Girls College, for her exceptional leadership and dedication to empowering students.

Principal **Dr. Karamjit Kaur**, Incharge **Dr. Maninderjit Kaur**, and Coordinator **Ms. Renu Gupta** guided and motivated the participants. Students actively participated, making the event a grand success.

On the occasion of *World AIDS Day, an awareness lecture was organized by the **Red Ribbon Club of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, under the mentorship of **Principal Dr. Karamjeet Kaur. The event took place at **G.S.S. School, Dhanoa*, on Dated 02, December 2024 with active participation from both faculty and students.

The lecture was graced by *Dr. Maninderjit Kaur* and *Ms. Satwant Kaur*, who shared valuable insights about HIV/AIDS, its causes, prevention, and the importance of spreading awareness. The discussion emphasized the need to eliminate the stigma associated with the condition and encouraged everyone to support individuals living with HIV.

Students also engaged in the session actively, showcasing their interest in promoting health and awareness in the community. Such initiatives by the Red Ribbon Club are instrumental in educating the youth and fostering a compassionate and informed society.

**Celebrating National Unity Day at Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian!** 🎉

The Red Ribbon Club of Dasmesh Girls College honored the birth anniversary of **Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel** with enthusiasm and pride! Students showcased heartfelt poems and powerful speeches dedicated to Patel’s legacy as the “Iron Man of India.” 💪✨

Under the guidance of our Principal, **Dr. Karamjit Kaur**, the event concluded with a unity pledge. Dr. Kaur praised the students’ efforts and encouraged everyone to participate in future events that celebrate our nation’s heroes. She also shed light on Sardar Patel’s immense contributions to India. 🇮🇳

*Extension Lecture on Teachings of Bhai Ghanaiya Ji at Dasmesh Girls College*

On September 21, the Red Ribbon Club of Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh Mukerian, organized an inspiring extension lecture on the theme “Teachings of Bhai Ghanaiya   Ji,” under the mentorship of Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur. The event highlighted the profound teachings of Bhai Kanahiya Ji, a revered figure known for his selfless service to humanity.

Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur served as the resource person, sharing captivating details about Bhai  Ghanaiya  Ji’s life and his extraordinary acts of compassion during wartime, especially in connection with Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Her insights emphasized the importance of serving others, reflecting Bhai Kanahiya Ji’s legacy.

A notable moment included a dialogue where Guru Gobind Singh Ji praised Bhai  Ghanaiya   Ji for his selfless service, saying, “You see no enemy; you see only humanity.” This powerful exchange underscored the essence of compassion and inspired students to follow this path.

The lecture was well-received by students and faculty alike, including Red Ribbon Club in-charges Dr. Maninderjit Kaur and Ms. Renu Gupta, who were present to support the initiative. Students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Principal Karamjit Kaur for her valuable thoughts and teachings.

**Extension Lecture on HIV/AIDS Awareness and Stress Management at Dasmesh Girls College**

On September 13, 2024, Dasmesh Girls College Chak Alla Baksh Mukerian hosted an insightful extension lecture organized by the Red Ribbon Club and Students Services Centre. Under the esteemed leadership of Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur, the event aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and address stress issues among students.

Our distinguished speakers included Amandeep Singh, Counsellor at Civil Hospital Mukerian, along with Ms. Gagandeep Kaur M.L.T. and Ms. Daljeet Kaur M.L.T. They provided valuable information on HIV/AIDS—its causes, precautions, and remedies—and discussed the growing stress levels among students today.

The session was well-received, with students actively engaging and posing questions. The event also saw the presence of Dr. Maninderjit Kaur, Ms. Renu Gupta, and Dr. Rajwinder Kaur.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, recognizing the efforts of all involved and contributed to this important discussion! 🌟

Under the aegis of IQAC cell, Red Ribbon Club, NSS and Buddy group of Dasmesh Girls College, Mukerian under the patronage of Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur, organised a Anti-Drug pledge Ceremony under theme of ‘Viksit Bharat Ka Mantra’ on the International Youth Day on 12th August, 2024. On this occasion SDM Sh. Ashok Kumar, Mukerian and DSP Sh. Vipan Kumar was disseminated the message to youth that addiction is a disease that affects your brain and behavior. When you’re addicted to drugs, you can’t resist the urge to use them, no matter how much harm the drugs may cause. Anti- Drug Pledge to take a strong stand against drug abuse that motivates the youth to stay away from drugs and support a drug-free society.Dr. Maninderjit Kaur, Mrs. Renu Gupta, Mrs.Satwant Kaur,Mrs. Surbhi Kundra and Mrs.Monica Sharmawere also present on this Pledge Ceremony.
