Session 2024-25
Department of Physics in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) held a successful Workshop on Instrumentation Physics, which took place from 24-26 March 2025. The event attracted science students, eager to deepen their understanding of principles and applications of modern instrumentation physics in everyday life. Experts Ms. Neena Rishi and Dr. Sandeep Kaur covered a wide range of topics related to household electronic and electrical circuits, basic measurement techniques for voltage, current, resistance, capacitance etc., calibration and error analysis. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Karamjeet Kaur praised the active participation of students and experts sharing the knowledge during different sessions.
Department of Science in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Cell (IIC) celebrated National Science Day on 6th March, 2025 under this year theme “ Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Developed India”. Various activities including Science Exhibition, Poster Presentation, and Power Point Presentation were organized and students participated with great enthusiasm. Principal Dr. Karamjeet Kaur awarded trophies to the winners. The event successfully contributed to promoting scientific awareness and fostering innovation among students.
Plantation and awareness drive on ‘Soil Day’: Ms. Neena Rishi of Department of Physics in collaboration with Eco club visited Guru Nanak School Nushera and GSS Sen. Secondary School Harse Kalota and delivered a lecture on the theme Caring Soil: Measure, Monitor and Manage
Community Enrichment Program was conducted by Department of Physics in DAV Senior Secondary School and Govt. Senior Secondary School Kamahi Devi on 10 Dec,2024 to aware youngsters about National Education Policy-2020.

National Science Day Celebration
Department of Physics celebrated National ScienceDay:Theme- Indigenous technology for ‘Viksit Bharat’ on 7th March, 2024. Science stream students participated in quiz competition and gave power point presentations. Principal Dr. Karamjeet Kaur Brar grace the occasions as the chief guest. The event was attended by all the college staff members. Winners were awarded with trophies and certificates were given to all the participants.
