Students of Department of Economics Nikita, Deepakshi, Jiya Puri, Kanchan Kumari and Samriti of Dasmesh Girls College Chak Alla Baksh Mukerian has participated in the five hours Online Training on*”Social Media and Cybersecurity” organized by CIET- NCERT in collaboration with National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology ( NIELIT) from 30th October to 3rd November 2023 and has secured above 70% in the post- session quiz.

In Session 2024-25, The Department of Economics at Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh Mukerian, organized a demonstration on adopting sustainable food practices in celebration of Janamashtmi. This event was part of a 30 Days Challenge in collaboration with the National Edu Trust of India. It emphasized the importance of avoiding packed and processed foods, which are detrimental to health, and encouraged the adoption of sustainable and healthy food choices. The initiative was conducted under the leadership of Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur, Head of Department Ms. Renu Gupta, and Assistant Professor Ms. Jyoti, aiming to promote awareness about sustainable living and health-conscious eating habits.

Students show their enthusiasm during Exhibition.They shared their experiences how they prepare their products and really enjoyed to prepare their product. An extension lecture has been organized by Department of Economics on Dated 02-02-2021 on topic “Role of Economics in Present Context “. Resource Person of the event was Prof. Vikram of SPN COLLEGE MUKERIAN (HOD of Department of Economics) lays emphasis on how Economics affects all aspects of our daily life . We cannot ignore its importance. During this event students raise their queries.
On Dated 12-03-2019 A visit to Bank, Talwara Road, Mukerian has been organized by Department of Economics. During this visit students gain knowledge regarding how to open Accounts, FD, RD and other saving schemes. Gain knowledge regarding different schemes run by Bank. Assistant Professor Taranvir Kaur and Renu Gupta were present during the meeting.
