20th Athletic Meet (2025-26)
The 20th Two-Day Athletic Meet was successfully organized at Dasmesh Girls College, Chak Alla Baksh, Mukerian under the leadership of Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur Brar and Head of the Sports Department, Lieutenant Dr. Rajwinder Kaur. The event was graced by the Chairman of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Educational Charitable Trust, S. Ravinder Singh Chak, along with other committee members.
The program began with the hoisting of the sports flag, lighting of the torch, and an oath-taking ceremony by the athletes. Principal Dr. Karamjit Kaur Brar welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of sports in the overall development of students. Students also presented an impressive yoga performance.
Various sports competitions were organized during the meet. Muskan won the 50-meter race, while Payal Chaudhary secured first place in the lemon race. Gurleen Kaur stood first in the 100-meter race, and Priya won the chatti race. In the sack race, Muskan again secured first place, while Tanisha and Disha won the three-leg race. Gurjit Kaur secured first place in both the 200-meter race and 400-meter race. Gurvinder won the rope jump competition. In shot put, Palak secured first place, while Simran won the discus throw. Raveena secured first place in the long jump, and the Sports Players’ Team won the tug-of-war competition.
The winners were honored with trophies and medals, and the event concluded with an energetic Gatka performance. Students who excelled in youth festivals and co-curricular activities were also awarded trophies and cash prizes. Chairman S. Ravinder Singh Chak appreciated the efforts of the Sports Department and encouraged the college to continue organizing such activities for the holistic development of students.
